A strange type of day

It’s been a rather odd sort of day today.

It’s not every day you are asked to drive a film crew around town in a bus.

The gadget show came to MK to test Noise Cancelling Headphones, and what better was to do it than on a noisy bus!

The day was spent driving round the City Centre while they filmed various bits, Which even included a guy playing the bagpipes.

Never did I imagine one day that I’d be driving round in a bus with a man playing the bagpipes at full volume!!

Been a great day!

Snow day!

Snowy day today/Last Night!!

All buses today were keeping well away from estate roads, and as a result there was very few passengers about. Reports that MK Council has run out/is close to running out of grit has meant that none of the estates have been gritted tonight, So all the roads are frozen solid now 🙁 Should make it interesting in the morning….

People of Milton Keynes…

….I need your help!!

I need people that are local to MK to let me know of ANY building projects going on within the Town that you know of please, For a new website I’m working on.

It can be anything from a new block of flats to the remodelling of a roundabout, I just need to know what it is and where.

You can either leave your replies as a comment to this post or email me directly.

Thanks everyone!!

Can you see me?! UPDATE

Well the GPS tracking thing seemed to work quite well today.

According to the data, Between 11:08 and 18:38 I traveled 38.3 Miles, at an average speed of 5mph (!!!), and my Max Speed at any one time was 41mph. The average speed might be a bit inaccurate as there were two one hour breaks within that time.

Anyway, I’ve decided to have another go at it tomorrow, between the hours or 1500 – 1940, So don’t forget to log and look again.. and Please comment on it, I might add it as a permanent feature of the blog

Can you see me?!

A new experiment for tomorrow (Monday).. If you can see the map below then you should be able to follow me around my shift (or as long as my iPhone battery lasts). This map uses GPS tracking to locate where I am.

Be interesting to see what people make of it

You can also goto the direct map, Which is supposed to update automatically at http://www.instamapper.com/ext?key=15320019696317868336
