Route 61–Traveller’s rest roundabout

Due to road repairs and re-surfacing, the B489 will be closed from “The Travellers rest” roundabout to the junction with Beacon Road[a minor road near to the top of Ivinghoe Beacon].

The closure is listed as for 4 nights from19:30 until 06:00 each night but weather permitting is only expected to be for one night – from 19:30 on Monday 13^th May until 06:00 Tuesday morning 14^th May.

Service 61 will divert from Aylesbury via turning right into Beacon Road off normal route; then left into Ringshall Road, left at Dagnall roundabout onto the A4146 and back to the Travellers rest and normal route. Reverse of this coming from Luton.

Journeys affected are05:20 ex Aylesbury [although the road may well be open by this time as the bus is due at 05:51; 19:40 ex Aylesbury and 19:00 and 21:20 ex Luton Airport.

Oxford High Street–Sunday 12th May 2013

Due to the annual Town & Gown charity run on Sunday 12^th May, Oxford High Street will be closed to buses between 09:45 and 10:45. Westbound buses, i.e. towards the Rail Station are not affected.

Thus the 10:00 departure from Oxford Rail Station will need to run via normal route to New Road, then Castle Street, Old Greyfriars Street, Thames Street, right into Abingdon Road, left into Weirs Lane, ahead Donnington Bridge Road, left into Iffley Road and right at The Plain roundabout back onto normal route.

AYLESBURY SERVICE 150: MILTON KEYNES MARATHON – MONDAY 6th MAY

During the Milton Keynes marathon on Monday 6^th May service 150 will be required to divert until 1230 – normal route to The Point [shops] then U-turn at the roundabout just beyond the stop and back along eastwards then turn left at the lights into Secklow Gate, ahead until reaching Portway then turn left at the roundabout and carry on until Grafton Street roundabout then turn left into Grafton Gate and right into Elder Gate at the back of the old Bus Station onto normal route to the Rail Station. On the way back, use the reverse of the outward diversion back to The Point.

Service 280 Wheatley Monday 6th May

Church road in Wheatley will be closed for a May day procession on Monday 6^th May between 1000 and 1100.

Thus the two service 280 journeys that pass along this road, one in each direction, during this hour, will need to divert via London Road.

Leighton Buzzard High Street – 5/6th May

Due to the annual May Fayre, Leighton Buzzard High Street will be closed on Sunday 5^th and PH Monday 6^th May.

To ensure smooth passage for buses and to avoid confusion, all 150 journeys on these two days will run via West Street instead – observing the two part time stops in the vicinity of the car park entrance [n/b] and Bossard hall [s/b] and not just during the stated closure hours in the TRO.

Stoke Mandeville hospital

Due to roadworks connected with the new ASDA store at Stoke Mandeville Hospital from Monday 13^th May for approximately 10 days, services 4, 9, 55,300 will be departing from the New wing direct onto Lower Road, [by the ambulance station] rather than serving the road and bus stop by the old Eye Clinic.

Oxford May day celebrations

The usual May Day celebrations will take place in Oxford on the morning of 1^st May. Thus the High Street will be closed from 03:00 until around 09:00 although normal practice is for an earlier opening.

Thus service 280 will need to divert in both directions. Towards Oxford Rail Station as normal to The Plain roundabout, then via Iffley Road, Donnington Bridge Road, Weirs Lane, Abingdon Road, St.Aldates to Speedwell Street and normal route. From the Rail Station as normal to New Road then Castle Street, Old Greyfriars Street, Thames Street, Abingdon Road, Weirs Lane, Donnington Bridge Road, Iffley Road to The Plain and then normal route.

Leighton Buzzard High Street

Hockliffe Street in Leighton Buzzard will be closed this Sunday, 28^th April, between 09:00 and 15:00, for water utility works.

Service 150 will need to divert towards Milton Keynes only – straight ahead from LB High Street into Lake Street, then left into Lessons Road and ahead back on normal route.

Princes Risborough High Street will be closed for the annual St.George’s Day Parade on Sunday 21 April between 14:30 and 15:00.

The service 300 journeys departing High Wycombe at 14:05 [707 duty] and Aylesbury at 14:05 [706 duty] will need to follow the usual di8version via New Road, observing the part –time bus stops in that road.
