Well, I think it’s time to have another go at the ARRIVA Photo Competition, I could do with the winners prize of £300 for a new camera lens I want. It’s a toss up out of these 4 pictures…. What do you think?

The last two are pretty good ..the first one is clever but would have been better in a different location…anyway we are to far south to win and we do not drive trains LOL

Les AYL: LOL, Also they seem to like very very boring shots from what I’ve seen of previous winners. But I think you’re right, the odds are stacked up against me, Too far south and pictures of Metro, The bus company that’s only part of ARRIVA when it suits.

I have just checked Jan winners…what a load of SHIT..I see Mark Scott from cross country seems to be a favourite winner in the past.

Les AYL: As does Stuart Lowerson and David Sharp
http://www.arriva.co.uk/arriva/en/media_centre/gallery/photo_competition/ – for anyone else that wanst to see previous winners.
I also find it very funny that people have won with pictures of trains that are still in Virgin’s Livery, Yet it’s supposed to be an ARRIVA competition.

I like the second one (I have one of the Sydney Opera House at night, from a ferry, which is remarkably similar, lol, although I’m convinced that the light swirls form treble clefs) but I guess from a competition point of view it’d be the 3rd one. If you use that and win, you will now need to share your proceeds with me

what lens are you after for you camera
February 17th, 2009 at 21:45
Les AYL: A £300 one LOL
Lynne: Erm I don’t think so, You see your share would just get eaten up in the exchange and transfer rates… Best I just keep all of it!

IMHO I’s say either number 3 if you straightened it up with photoshop or similar so it doesn’t look like its going downhill, or number 4. Good Luck Chuck!

number 2 looks very well driven. Id go for number 3 tho, your not gonna win cos arriva dont like us metro really

I say number 5 because I use that service quite often, but, as Jean says, I think it could do with some straightening up. Anyway, I hope you win.

The fourth one does it for me

You may need to go out again and take some more pics . You need to get a train and a bus in the Picture if you want to win. See you soon.
PS
Have you been ill as you have not been moaning about the buses or the punters over the last few days.
February 18th, 2009 at 21:26
what about a train crashed into a bus at a crossing? ccould be use for safety posters too!
