STRIKE!! STRIKE!! STRIKE!!
I walked into work this morning to find this notice pinned up in various places….
This has come out of the blue for most staff at Aylesbury as I don’t think anyone knew that the Union was even at a debate, or even discussing stuff with ARRIVA. I can only assume that our Union Rep hasn’t told us anything.
I heard about a Union Meeting that was being held last night at MK Metro, and via the grapvine, have heard that the three of us from Aylesbury working over there aren’t welcome (By the union and/or some drivers). Some seem to be taking it to a personal level by ignoring us which seems a bit petty, We are only doing what is asked of us! We know you don’t like ARRIVA, and to be honest I’m not a great fan myself, But there’s no need to take it out on us personally. Perhaps I was a bit too hasty last week to think the staff had changed there… Looks like the transfer could be on hold! 
Also heard a rumour today that the full ARRIVA’ing of Metro is not too far away.

I also noticed today in the City Centre a horible looking bright green Metro bus with a ARRIVA recruitment All Over advert plastered across it with no mention of MK Metro at all.
The next thing of course will be to see if Metro is moved onto the same Pay & Conditions as other ARRIVA The Shires garage’s.

Well we`v had the fleet numbers and adverts from arriva for ages, nothing has changed much recently, petty things such as no headphones seem to get in the way of any real change.
The pay and contracts is the main bit that everyone is wondering about at the moment, only time will tell.

Ah yes, but this bus is has been given an all-over advert for arriva recruitment and even a new Arriva logo to the top side of the bus.. There doesn’t seem to be any metion of Metro on it… The first (and currently, only) MK Metro Bus to be ARRIVA’d.
Don’t know what you mean about no headphones?!

Arriva policy, “no headphones/handfree for mobiles”. This is not in our metro policy. There trying to enforce it, while were ignoring it. Things like this are taking up time could be spent doing other things.
As for the arriva recrutment bus, i`v not seen it yet, are you sure its ours?

The ARRiva’ing of MK Metro has already begun in Northampton. Optare Solo 8 ass also been sporting Arriva fleetnumber 2421 since at least Sunday 27th April.
